Part of the "tick box exercise".
Developers are usually required to "consult the public" as a step in the Planning Process.

As a former coach at Htjfc I see a huge problem here , Parking .
Unless I can’t see the car park on the plan. Believe me there will be traffic . However a great idea .

That page is pretty much unreadable because of all the ads popping up over it. How is anyone supposed to even read what the proposal says?

The notice of consultation will be formally available elsewhere. Probably via the local authority!

When we used ro walk over that area it was the remains of a black quarry.

On this 1912 Map it was a massive Clay Quarry.
Black Rd & Victoria Rd east can be seen to help see how big it was.

The clay used to make bricks in Hebburn was Etruria Marl. The area is full of it! I believe there was 5 brickworks in the town.

Was the brickwork down where western pub was in jarrow did they use the materials from this quarry. When was the quarry behind the clock. Was this 40s/50s?

Not sure David. If yiu look around Hebburn, you'll see what we call bkue/black bricks. They are made like ordinary bricks but fired off in an oxygen free oven at 1000°. Virtually impossible to drill! Why they were made was for decoration at first, but crept into house building.
