I have found a great little book titled " The Very Bloody History Of Britain - without the boring bits"! It is so funny you cant put it down. One example is Guy Fawkes was executed and his 10 accomplices fled to a safe house, soaked with rain. While drying their socks, they chucked more logs on the fire only to create a shower of sparks igniting the gunpowder they were carrying and they were all blown to bits!!! Great book,true facts!

Did anyone have Mr Casey for History? Jean McIntosh and I regularly asked for permission to go and feed the pigeons and hens as Alex my brother was away on National Service.

Yes I had Mr casey for history and found he made no effort to make it interesting or fun.

Moving on about this book I'm still laughing at.- In 1895, Marconi turned on the first wireless, ( and probably got the Archers) ! Although its funny, the facts are there like dates etc!
