And... when your mother/father walked into a "messy" room..(maybe your bedroom) and said; "It's like Stagie Bank Fair in here!" (Pronounced Stage eee)

I googled that, some time ago....try it!

But does anyone else recall that being said to them?

The expression the used to mystify me was when someone was annoying or exasperating, my mam and her generation would say "They would put hairs on a shovel, they would!"
