Pandora’s Box

Each of us possess
Our own Pandora’s box
It’s other name is memory
And it hasn’t any locks
But be wary when you open it
To savour past delights
Carefree summer holidays
And warm romantic nights
For pleasures often tinged with pain
Remembrance with regret
Entangled with the happy times
Are some we would forget
Hindsight shines a harsher light
Upon each youthful folly
Illuminates our recklessness
Induces melancholy
Sometimes a touch of sadness
Is the price nostalgia pays
Recalling all the memories
Tha filled our golden days
