Does anyone agree that the prices being charged and changed almost daily for petrol and Diesel are garages ripping us off !

Yes it is a rip off, where we live there is no gas into the hamlet so we rely on oil fir heating and hot water, we top up the heat8ng with a log burner, I had to fill up our oil tank, this was just before the Iran War started I paid 0.66 per litre for the oil, that was up quite a bit from I paid earlier in the year. I was curious to know how much per litre oil is now so earlier in the week I called the supplier to make an enquiry, I was shocked by what I was told the cost per litre is now 1.35 that is more than double, if I was ordering now I would have to pay £1,400 more than I did just prior to the war starting.
Fuel for cars, we left for holiday on 6th March a new fuel station was charging £1.22 for petrol, yesterday we past by it had gone up to £1.32 which, to be honest, is still the cheapest in this area, I just wonder how quick garages will be to lower the pump prices once things settle down??
