Yes Norman it does.A get together at my Nana's in Hood st when my uncle came to visit from America as soon a I heard it lots of people the Jenning twins come to mind. That is Nostalgia this was in the fifties .Thank you .

BBC Radio days

It does Norman because it reminds me of the days when the BBC hadn't woken up to the new wave of pop music and played stuff like this.
It took them until 1967 to create Radio 1 when they discovered that many of us were listening to Radio Caroline which started in 1964 plus other pirate stations.
Frankly BBC today stays well behind in terms of innovation.
They are not on my listening list at all and rarely if ever do I watch their TV programming.

This clever lyric was written in 1947. Listen carefully - it's all very plausible and legal.

Do you remember Bridget the Midget? Another of his novelty numbers.

Of his mainstream stuff Misty was my favourite. I think that I even had it on an 8 Track album in my car in pre cassette days.
