Hebburn 'Theatre Royal' & parts of the town in 1935

Another lovely old aerial view from the brilliant 'Britain from above' website & as usual I've added locations and a bit interesting history. Notice the people in the streets looking up at the little aeroplane buzzing the Town?.They would never know that they were being photographed and 91 years later we can see them.
15 years later in 1950 I was 6yrs old living across the street probably 100 yds away & watched the Firemen fighting the fire that destroyed it.

I have seen a few photos of Hebburn on "Britain from Above" where you can see the people looking up at the aeroplane. I wonder how common it was to see one in those days and if they even knew they were having their photograph taken. And here we are, years later, looking at them!
