Queen of the May

The Pilot launch Queen of the May and foy boats off Coble Landing in 1932. The Queen Of The May was a ex private yacht of the Coates family (of cotton thread fame) and was purchased in 1917 replacing the Protector which had been destroyed by an enemy mine on the 31st December 1916 with the loss of all hands.
