Postcard photo dated (posted) 4th October 1927. The shipyard on the left of the photo is the Northumberland Shipbuilding Co Ltd, Howdon who were in operation from 1899 to 1930. Northumberland Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. would have been opposite the Mercantile D/D.
