Remember when I had a large batch of my old photos framed ready to go into our Hebburn 'Hub' Building so people without computers could see them but the Liebour Leader of the Council said 'We have a plain walls policy here, so I am not allowed to display them'.

I dont suppose our new councillors have any idea about an (illegal) plain walls policy. Maybe it would help to approach them. Norman

They have two representatives in the Hub from 10.00 to noon on Saturdays.

When our new Reform Councillors were elected I emailed a lot of them and congratulated them aswell as introducing myself.
Hopefully they will be on our side unlike those other lot that we dumped

I think that so soon into change of control Reform Cllrs will have many difficult decisions on their hands and the Plain Walls policy could be overlooked.
The leader say he wants "Common Sense" policies. Maybe killing the plain walls policy off (if it ever actually existed) could be an easy win and would not divert from the main thrust of change.
It would be up to residents to suggest this by making contact with Mr Mackings!
