I think there were cottages like this in Jarrow in the late 1940s. Just a little further down from the Regal Cinema and to the right.

My Dad lived in one of these in the 30's 40's. The Smith family. Ralph and Margaret Smith and 4 children. The hats on the men are as on Jarrow March ilk. Not sure if one of those men could be my Grandad.
