Trying to dig free a trolley bus that had got stuck in Prince Edward Road, South Shields in February 1947.

Trolley buses I used did not have heaters for passengers. No doors on the back either - as shown. Just like our house in Fox Street Felling. It had no doors at the back either. Pinched to heat some poor sods house in that awful winter of 1947.
