It is the latest "Shannon" class lifeboat. It works by powerful water jets like a jet-ski and can belt out 25 knots in no time. There is no prop for power, just water jets and it is fully computerised. At first, many of the crews didn't like it because it was hard to learn but I heard from Hartlepool it took some getting used to! Now they love it. Hope this new one goes well.
