RIP OFF BRITAIN again

Posted by Thomas Buglass on 7/9/2026, 7:48 pm

Went to the post office today to post a birthday card to the Republic of Ireland and was charged £3.60. The same card being sent from Ireland would have cost 1.70 euros. Oh by the way the card size just under 7x5 and weighed under 100grms. Like I say RIP off Britain.

That's what happens when the Royal Mail gets sold off by the government. No control over pricing.

Standard birthday card sent from USA to UK costs $1.75, so about £1.30
