The famous 'Grey's Monument' to honour a man who became our Prime Minister 1830 to 1834. He was born in Fallodon, near Embleton in Northumberland 1764 hence this honour to a true North east lad😁😀

I remember climbing up to the top of Grey's Monument with my mam when I was a young boy. It seemed so high! I wonder if it is still open to the public to climb up to the top and look out over the city.
