iPad update: Annoying

Posted by Sheila on 4/11/2026, 2:14 pm

Since my iPad update , all the posts are blue. After reading them they change to red, but then immediately go back to blue. I have to check dates to see if I’ve read the post. These iPad updates are annoying.

Haven’t had this particular issue Sheila but I’m with you. Technology is a wonderful thing and I love it… mostly.. but these guys being able to change our devices like that from a distance without telling us or having our (conscious) consent is not really on in my book.
I like to listen to meditations/music on my iPod Nano.It used to be easy. Then each time an update happened they changed it all around and it took a while to figure it all out.
Now of course they want you to have it all in the Cloud. That’s another story. I could go on, and on, and on….

I agree with You Jackie, I now dread when I get a message for an update. I’ve been told I can but more space in iCloud, but I’ve just got rid of a lot of photos I had so many duplicates🙄

Yes Steve!
I got the latest iPod a few years ago for my birthday. The guy in the Apple shop was showing me all the apps and said it’s almost a phone.
I soon found out I didn’t want any of those apps and the battery didn’t last long. I still use the old iPod Nano, it didn’t need fixing.

Reset the iPad and that should solve the problem

Thanks for that Jim, but I’m frightened I will lose my photos.

Hi Sheila, down load your photos to a USB stick for safety

Thank you for the good advice Colin. Some of the photos are so precious to me.
