2 pounds ground chuck
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1 beef bouillon cube or 1 tsp. beef soup base
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 cup milk
1 cup cracker crumbs 6 to 8 small potatoes, peeled
Combine all ingredients, except potatoes, in a large bowl. Shape into a loaf. Season with salt and pepper. Place in Crock-Pot.
Wrap potatoes in aluminum foil and place in Crock-Pot.
Cover and cook on the low setting for 7-10 hours.
VARIATIONS (Choose One):
1. Omit gravy mix and milk-add one 8-ounce can tomato sauce.
2. Add 1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix.
3. Add 1 can Campbell's Mushroom Soup with 1 can water.
Cook as above.
