Melt:
1 stick butter in pan
Add:
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. (heaping) baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix well and pour in loaf pan. Pour over batter one quart peaches or any fruit. Bake at 350 degrees until batter raises to the top and browns. Serve hot with a little country cream or ice cream.
