4 tablespoons butter
1 cup self-rising flour
1 1/2 quarts berries or other fruit
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup sugar
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Melt butter in a 9" square baking pan. Add fruit to butter in the pan. In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar, flour and buttermilk. Pour over top of fruit.
Bake for 1 hour.
Makes 8 servings.
