Protestors want amnesty

Why would they need amnesty. Protesting is a constitutionally protected right. No laws are broken by protesting. As long as no rules or laws are broken, there should be no penalties, therefore, no need for amnesty. If a student missed a test, should they be able to take it later? I suppose that would be at the discretion of the prof. Scholarships? What are the terms of the scholarship? If no rules or laws were broken, there should probably be no problem. If laws are broken, protestors should be subject to the same punishment as non-protestors.
