You're a pretty brilliant and always comprehending poster.. and I hope you had a little organic chemistry in your academic days.. when I took it... the word and thought "huh?" was mostly where I was at.

But sometimes I think evolution is an enantiomer of creation, of which was the original creative part.

In chemistry it's a mirror image of a complex molecule as like seen in a mirror..same..but different Enantiomers are a pair of molecules that exist in two forms that are mirror images of one another but cannot be superimposed one upon the other.

For illustration purposes...

Two pieces of paper, for example, are achiral. In comparison, chiral molecules are non-superimposable mirror images of each other, much like our faces. A Chiral molecule has a mirror image and can not be completely aligned with it- the mirror images can not be superimposed. The photos in the mirror are called enantiomers.

Or place your hand against the mirror.. that reflection is a perfect copy. Your right hand is as much a copy of your left however you can't place one on top of the other without seeing there's no way they can be superimposed.

I believe Devo's concern is that evolution is not a sure foundation as is creation. However, as a scientist and one who practiced science for many years in medicine .. I'm not faulting his need to feel firm about his beliefs... if they convinced him not to wander off.. if that is his "fence"... he's allowed to be safe in his convictions. Most judge him her for painting the fence with the same fresh white color...but that's ok... he's safe in it..and the Creator doesn't mind.
