Even as far back as British colonial rule the in the early twentieth century, Zionist in Palestine were used by the British to punish any Palestinian that wanted independence from British rule. Like any colonial power, Britain viciously punished anyone who wanted independence from Britain. Zionist did it from the beginning, as they did not intend to share Palestine with anyone. Their attacks on other Palestinians predated the removal of British rule and the promised division of Palestine in to two different counties.
