The Petersburg Public Schools are arguably the worst schools in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

And the residents of Petersburg are some of the lowest income people in the Commonwealth.

Petersburg spends more per student than the surrounding School Districts, whose students are doing MUCH better than Petersburg students.

Yet when you tell parents here that you'd like for them to be able to send their kids to DIFFERENT Schools, they oppose the idea.

Why?

"It'll take money from the Public Schools!"

How much MORE money do the Public Schools NEED in order to actually teach your kids?

I mean, are they saying that if only the schools got another $500,000 suddenly they'd BAM!!! be able to teach the kids?

Just absolutely unconscionable.
