In 2017, eight hikers were killed, and many homes destroyed, when the biggest landslide in over a century came down close to the village of Bondo.
I take it from that statement that even bigger ones have happened in the past more than a hundred years ago. I wonder why those landslides in the past happened? Must be the natural downward movement of glaciers... And people being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
