Hopefully, it wasn't a relative, as I am Swiss from both sides of the family. But that would be hard to determine as we have been here in the USA for at least 150 years.

In 2017, eight hikers were killed, and many homes destroyed, when the biggest landslide in over a century came down close to the village of Bondo.

I take it from that statement that even bigger ones have happened in the past more than a hundred years ago. I wonder why those landslides in the past happened? Must be the natural downward movement of glaciers... And people being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
