Humans lie for gain, to escape consequences, etc.

Why would AI deceive?

AI is a tool but like all tools, the person who uses it should always use their smarts to make the final decision and remain in control.

Humans tend to be rather lazy, generally speaking - if something is going to do done for them, many would prefer that than doing for oneself. We have a lot of lazy thinkers walking around planet Earth.

We also plunge ahead without really knowing what we are getting ourselves into. Not very wise. OTOH, with exploration there is contact with the unknown, thus one becomes exposed to risks.

I often think technology is over-used.
