Who and what do you put first?

The US has money problems, big ones. And for too long, the government officials have forgotten that they are public servants. The leader of this country is suppose to be We the People.

Want to build and run/maintain a luxury ballroom? Place the proposal before the people - let them have a voice. Let them vote on the issue - if they think its a good idea, if they think the money should be spent elsewhere.

Be open - provide them with estimates on how much such a project, after completion, will cost to run and maintain. Lay all the cards on the table. This is not a classified military operation that needs sensitive info to be protected.
