What non believers can NEVER comprehend is the Biblical idea of submission (vs their own harsh notion of it) and the joy that people in a Bible believing church, who seek to live godly lives, and the role of the entire congregation including pastors and staff of being submissive to God and his plan for Christian families. We are not depressed Mormon women. We have no cruel abusive husbands (I’m talking about the godly, not the situations that might include ungodly).

Our Bible believing church is really like the most perfect, though not perfect, example of ordinary people with extraordinary love for each other, Godly love that brings out the best in people, not the worst. People struggle with their brokenness, supported by staff and friends, plenty of effective counseling when people need guidance and support, humble leadership, generous membership, humanity at its best,if not absolutely perfect best. It is true that there’s absolutely nowhere I’d rather be than among them.

As for my husband, it’s easy to submit to a loving man! Does that mean there’s never any friction? No, but that means When we both consider what pleases God, amazingly issue resolved.

But this joyous living isn’t usually an overnight happening. The Christian life is not a one time event, It’s a lifetime journey. I’m so glad I’m able to make it. That’s why I wish it for everyone.
