I enjoy Halloween very much - decorate my yard (adding to the display each year), hand out gobs of candy, love seeing the imagination many have used in creating costumes - heck my husband and I even dress up and sit with our 'spooks' on the front porch, handing out the candy to all who come by trick or treating. We've celebrated it for years and have yet to meet a demon or devil.
And yes, many religions borrow from one another, share ideas/teachings and rituals. . . I see strong correlations between meditation and prayer, miracles and magic, the Christian resurrection and the Pagan renewal/rebirth of life. . . . and yet, despite that, some people will judge those from who they have borrowed and thus share ideas and beliefs.
As advanced and educated as we think we are, we still have a long way to go.
