If one believes in such things, what is the difference between the soul and spirit? As I understand it:
The soul is a person's makeup, memories, will, and personality. The soul processes thoughts and creates the foundation for personal identity. In Hebrew (nephesh) or Greek (psyche), the entire living person.
The Spirit is internal, an immortal spark that functions as a connection to God and spiritual awareness. It facilitates awareness and intuition. Looking at Hebrew texts, the word is ruach (Hebrew) or pneuma (Greek), referring to the life force from God
The relationship is simple. The soul bridges between the physical and the spirit. The spirit then serves as a driving guide for the soul and body and a bridge to the Divine
These are some of the Biblical sources on the ideas:
1 Thessalonians 5:23
Hebrews 4:12
Luke 1:46-47
It's a shame that those who put forward questions never actually answer them, then accuse others of "cut and paste" or of knowing nothing.
If you don't like an answer try explaining (in detail) why - not two words, not insults...
Yeah, I know... I already made my batch with Parm.
