In Luke 7, Jesus was at Simon's house. A woman that was considered a sinner showed up and washed his feet and made a fuss over him. Simon did not approve. Jesus made the statement that she was forgiven much, so she loved much. Simon on the other hand wasn't forgiven much, so he didn't love much.

That is the key. Those that are forgiven much, love much and are able to forgive.

Those in the sewer that have their sins forgiven are lifted up in a big way. They love much because they were forgiven much. They forgive, because they know what it is like to be forgiven in a big way. They love the Lord in a big way.

So many, on the other hand believe they are "good" people. They don't have much that needs to be forgiven. So, they have never experienced radical forgiveness. As a result, they don't know how to love or forgive. Sadly, we all come out of the sewer, but some don't realize it.

Redemption is a big deal. Some realize it, others don't.
