It’s a mine field. Avoid Facebook. Don’t scan QR codes. And certainly not at a restaurant to review the menu. Remove all non essential app. Received an empty envelope in the mail? Do not follow up. Toss it. Much of the scamming of bank accounts is by inside employees getting paid for information. Hear an accent? Beware. Giving credit card numbers to foreign call centers runs some risk.
