Paganism is a strange worship of nature. Cain slew Abel over anger because God choose Abel’s burnt meat offering over Cains harvest from the field. The first sacrifice of the flesh, twice. One is the offering of an animal. The other the taking of Abel’s life due to a jealousy. It sets the stage for the theme that arduously ends with Jesus becoming Christ. The plan starts in Genesis and ends in Revelation, to fruition. I’ll stay with the symbol of salvation.
