after arriving from Egypt. The OT says so explicitly. Even King David had Moabite ancestors, for example.

God commanded the Israelites in Deuteronomy 7:3-4 not to intermarry with local Canaanite nations (such as the Hittites, Amorites, and Jebusites). However, the Book of Judges (3:5-6) notes that the Israelites lived among the Canaanites and directly disobeyed this command by intermarrying.
