We are leaving this debt for younger generations who are currently too young to even vote on this.
What should we do about it?
In the 1993 Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act we increased taxes on the rich, then we had the Balanced Budget Act of 1997, then with the help of a strong economy we had a budget surplus in 1998 to 2001. Why can't we do that again?
