a class in schools on critical thinking skills, ethics and good citizenship... just common sense logic on the value of being honest, considerate, fair and emphathetic towards others. No religion or magic is required. Perhaps a textbook with examples from real life on how ethics, problem solving and the justice system works or should work. IMO, most of the kids would respond well to being treated with respect and encouraging them to think, participate and add value to the discussion, while keeping it real.
