should senior citizens stop paying taxes for their homes?

In Portland you can apply to have 1/2 school tax bills break... but not your home/land taxes, that's not even considered.

The economy is collapsing. So why not.

Seniors do have many benefits regarding taxes. Sales taxes, property taxes, medical coverage, 10% discounts, transportation, etc. The society seems very generous to us seniors, imho.
