Will robots eventually replace all humans? What will happen to all the people who lose their jobs?

Soon millions of Americans will loose their driving jobs and be replaced by robots. Many drivers are self employed, so they can't get unemployment benefits.

Driverless cars used to be illegal, but the government changed laws to make them legal. Does that mean the government should be responsible for helping unemployed drivers?

Tesla has a humanoid robot that could take a lot more jobs from real humans

The good robots help us and do dangerous and icky jobs that people don't like. The bad robots take jobs that people like and put people out of work.

Rod Serling warned us about this 60 years ago:

Waymo charges more than Uber or Lyfft. Where's the benefit?

I expect they will soon be cheaper than Uber or Lyff.

They can save money because there is no human driver to pay.

Their cars are expensive. They use a combination of cameras, lidar, and radar. All that equipment is expensive, but I expect them to reduce their prices soon.
