Would You Want to Live Forever?

No --- but maybe longer than we do, and with a functional body.

It would be interesting to see when people have children, what careers they pursue, etc. The world would have to change drastically.

That all said -- I think that our life is just one phase of existence, so I don't fear death.

Depending on the context.

Not as it is now on this fallen earth with this aging body, but in heaven with God and all in His kingdom, with an incorruptible body, no more tears, no more pain, praising God (living a perfected glorified life I don’t deserve), you betcha. Counting on it!

The prospect of eternal life suggests health. Would you stop aging? Would you maintain your faculties? Would everyone around you age and die? (this is a biggie and heartbreaking)

Maybe a better question is, is there something you want to live long enough to see or experience.

Being age 20 would work for me, and live forever.

I really don’t believe living forever would be a bore. One simply does not mark the passing of time. No need for the term “forever”.

...if you don't believe in eternal life, you will pack your ultimately meaningless life with ultimately meaningless activity.

Christ said:

It is trite to say that the biggest deathbed confessions are about regrets about relationships.

God is relational. The trinity is relational. And heaven and eternity is primarily about relationships.

Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.

It is that easy Ken, lay hold of it.

DeGrasse is a conceited fool who loves the limelight and is in awe of his own profundity. Really bad logic.

Agree about Degrasse. He is no Carl Sagan.
