Been here since 2018. Next will be Sharia law. Texas and Florida putting out yet another WELCOME mat to the NYC business community. The US is lost. No longer the real America. Time to emigrate.

I don't live near the Big Apple but I am a NY resident. Haven't heard anything about the panic you allude to.

Mamdani won 56% of votes, Cuomo 44%. A clear majority win.

Now if you said the GOP was panicking (though why IDK as the city is known Dem territory), or if you said even some within the Dem party itself, or if you said some groups within the city was, I might consider that a reasonable assertion.

But the city is in panic? Doubtful.

Besides, its your claim, not mine. Point being that I have no interest in researching to drum up support for your claim. Not my job.

the bloomers have been blown off of some people by Mamdani's win. We shall know him by his actions, not by his religion or country of origin.

I mean, Cuomo helped to prove race, religion and nationality isn't proof of integrity. I guess we should thank him for that.

They offer up quotes, often taken out of context.
They will even chop up what someone says into bits and pieces, which can alter the meaning of what was actually said.

I prefer to listen to the full and uncut interview of the person in question (in this case Mamdani) and then compare what he says to how he has actually voted on issues, what he has actively supported and what he has done.

He is an unknown to me right now, so at this point in time I take a neutral position.

It’s reasonable to assume the rational democrats are in a panic.

both major parties have a lot to answer for. I trust neither and am registered with neither.

I am not bothered by Mamdani being Muslim and born outside the US. Look at Cuomo - white, Christian and American born - check out the scandals involving him.

Religion, race, country of origin is no guarantee that the individual you are dealing with is a good guy or a bad buy.

I have not heard of Mamdani until now. By his actions we shall know him.

He came here when he was seven. Wonder what lies he concocted then.

with Mamdani, as most see it, are that (1) his candidacy might open the door for a successful independent run for reelection by Adams and (2) the question of who will provide adult supervision.
