Birthright citizenship maybe a thing of the past . My question is how many generations back

...point out that the concept of an "illegal immigrant" did not exist in 1868, when the 14th Amendment was ratified.

Therefore, it's obvious that the 14th Amendment was never intended to apply to illegal immigrants, something that didn't even exist at the time.

There were LEGAL residents and LEGAL U.S. citizens.

And THAT is who the Amendment was intended to apply to.

That contradicts the wording of the Constitution:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

I contend that they did know what the word "person" meant

What other word could they have used?

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

That didn't apply to foreigners who were visiting our country, because they were not "subject to the jurisdiction of the United States".

That didn't apply to illegal immigrants, because there was no such thing.

It DID apply to the children of former Slaves.

Thus, you can't apply it. And a "non-citizen" who stole from or murdered someone would indeed be subject
to the jurisdiction of our courts, would they not?

You are just covering up the fact Birthright citizenship is under fire

You may be next to get deported how many generations has your forefathers been here. The only people that may be legal are the ones that took the test and oath.

I'd say deport anyone whose family didn't get here by 1620.

You created the trouble. You made Trump President. The vast majority saw the problem. You are voted out. Ending the birthright abuse is front and center to cull out social welfare parasites. And as a bonus, low IQ’s. Now when did your ancestors arrive. And what is your IQ?
