From my very first memory to my present 70+ yrs...
I believe you.
This life and all the moments, memories, and missives I've obtained mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually...
I believe you.
It's taken miracle staying power on your part Lord, to carry me towards whatever finish line you have for me. That track has been well worn by many before me yet Jesus, I do believe mine was purposed and specific to my redemption... complete and whole...
I believe you.
The air. The knowing that I know. That settling in my spirit that took a while to impact me in subtle and overt ways.
I believe you.
The connection with kindred spirits. The witness of miracles towards myself and others.
I believe you.
There is no disconnect from your presence, even in my wandering mind, flesh, and leading...you are there always.
I believe you.
At no moment have you not been concerned and undertaken for my benefit, my needs, my life.
I believe you.
I'll never have to say I believe in you.... That's not a variable anymore... because...
I believe you.
Affirmations are for witnessing, miracles are for changes, and Jesus made them happen for all.
I believe you.
Holy Spirit, I sense your leading, presence, and gentle teaching that I'll always need and available for my path as well as others.
I believe you.
I'd like those who read this, who can sense the inspiration I use to write it, that may they be healed within and without.
I believe you.
Author and finisher of everything.
I believe you.
Forgive me. Fill me. Lead me. Touch me. Heal me. Love me.
I believe you.
Jesus, your words are life, light, a refuge, a rose, a brother, healing, bringing order to hurting minds, bodies, and broken spirits.
I believe you.
I pray for my wife. My children, my grandchildren. My brothers and sister... flesh and blood and those of my spiritual family...present and those yet to come. Because...
I believe you.
The desire is to be content with our daily provided bread, forgiven for our sins and enabling us to forgive those who sin against us.
I believe you.
Deliver us from evil and give us power over temptation to be surrendered to your leading and not this dark world's ways.
I believe you.
That you are our Father, in Heaven... The only true and all-powerful King and God...who name is to be hallowed as Jesus taught us when we pray.
I believe you.
Matthew 6:9-13, is: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one."
Hallowed in plain words means, to me...
I believe you.
For others it might be... about acknowledging God's sacredness and setting Him apart in our thoughts, words, and actions, giving Him the highest honor and praise.
I'm going with...
I believe you.
Amen
