Now I can have conversations with my Tesla.

Tesla has a new AI chatbot feature. It was just activated in my car today with their latest software update. I'm still experimenting with it.

Grok is an AI chatbot from xAI, integrated into Tesla vehicles to provide conversational, witty responses and information to users. It functions as an AI companion, offering assistance like answering questions and performing basic tasks. To use Grok, a Tesla needs an AMD processor (common in models from mid-2021 onward), software update 2025.26 or higher, and either a Wi-Fi connection or an active Premium Connectivity subscription.

Key Features and Capabilities
Conversational AI: Grok is designed to be more conversational and entertaining than other assistants.
Contextual Understanding: Grok 4, the version rolling out in Teslas, offers faster answers and a deeper understanding of context.
Access to Information: It can answer questions, provide news headlines, or tell stories.
Vehicle Awareness: Grok is aware of vehicle-specific details like battery health and tire pressure, allowing users to ask questions about their car's status.
Potential Future Uses: Future applications could include generating touring routes, finding points of interest, suggesting highly-rated restaurants, or controlling climate and charging settings.

that, as far as I know, have not been resolved. I will stick with listening to the radio

Today it gave me one incoherent answer and one wrong answer.

The "conversations" are not like talking to a real human. It's more like a librarian or advanced search engine. It might even give me mis-information it found on the internet.

It knows our location and it can tell me all about the city we are in. That's kind of fun since I drive all around here for my work.

Siri works well for me. It is linked to my car infosystem so it sends messages, reads them, makes phone calls, gives me directions, warns me of speed checks - all with verbal commands. Google maps shows me traffic problems on my infosystem. When at home it can set my alarm for me, give me weather reports, do a google search. . . .

Sometimes its dumb and I have to rephrase my request.

Not interested in having a conversation with it though - there's no one there.

Silliness.
