I saw some lettuce fall on the floor at the supermarket today.

That’s usual procedure. I saw them drop a roast before slicing it for sandwich meat once. Yummie! Report it. I did.

That’s probably better than consumer fingers fondling it for firmness.

And likely the lettuce was wrapped in a plastic? Nonetheless the produce person should have tossed it in the sales bin.

The rest of the store looked nice and clean.

It was NOT wrapped in any plastic. It was NOT in any container.

In that case it should have been tossed. Lettuce isn't cooked.

Who knows what pathogens it came in contact with on the floor.

My friend (deceased) would have gone to the manager.

He saw a waiter take a leak in the bathroom at a restaurant. The waiter left without washing his hands. Don went straight to the maitre’d.

Not long ago I saw a support dog take a leak on many items on lower shelves.

The owner didn’t care. I never buy anything lower than my waste in a store now
