Nothing could be more important in the realm of social media right now than for people to understand how this has played out before, and why Maria Ressa received the Nobel Peace Prize.

Right now we desperately need understanding of what is now and has been happening through studying the past, and more notably the recent past with more modern methods.

I wish people would stop talking about banned politicians here. I made a political board for that. Sorry, I don't want to pick on Mugwump here. Too many people here make things too political.

I violated the rule about political posts - my only defense is that my genuine approach was in regard to 'freedom of expression' (so crucial to a human being - ethically and religiously) and that the divisiveness between human beings within the borders of this land may have arisen from something other than 'politics'.

My belief system says we ALL have a common threat - and that threat has successfully 'divided...on it's way to conqueor'. A global endeavor even...maybe?

I am unsure if there is any topic that can be discussed that politics won't creep in - it has been sewn into the fabric of society - no one escapes it.
