We don't have real winters where I live. No snow and almost no frost. We do have mountains that get snow.

Snow is a special occasion for me.

People who live in the snow might get tired of it. For me it's a special occasion. I have to do a long drive to reach it. That's why the video is important to me.

First snowfall is beautiful here.

We have tons of pines/evergreen in the Adirondacks. But we also have a long long winter.

After a while the snow turns black along the roads from the cars and the ice builds up. Our skies are almost always gray. Our winters are gray, sunless, colorless. . . and then I start longing for Spring.

Always a joy after the long dry summer. My firewood is stacked high in the wood room. First wood fire of the season. Fall is a favorite season. Snow usually piles up January through April. When spring arrives I’m ready for the change.

I am always ready for Spring. After January 1 I keep hoping for it to come early.

there is the peril of falling. Granted all bundled up and in a furry think hat. It’s a new day when all that is replaced by the springtime.
