Should robots be allowed to break driving laws?

Some cities allow self driving cars to break laws when humans would get a ticket for the same thing.

They are already taking jobs from human drivers. They should at least be subject to the same rules and fines as human drivers.

The software makers should get a ticket for each violation and they should loose their license after too many tickets, the same way humans can loose their license.

should be immediately towed and impounded. It can be released upon payment of the fines, tow fees, and impoundment fees.

Again relatively unlikely to happen as those companies have already purcahsed their legislators.

No they should not be allowed to break laws.

Humans drivers need to know what other cars will be doing. Turn signals, brake light, staying in the proper lane, etc. help other drivers to anticipate what is going to happen around them. This helps avoid accidents.

Driving is an art form, not a ‘science’.

That applies to humans. Shouod robots be given the same? But even as an art form, tickets are for not being a ‘good artist’. So, yes, tickets. Especially if AI is behind the wheel.
