How do you feel about goverment owned grocery stores ?

The goverment run grocery stores could be at lest 40% cheaper on most items .

Large chain grocery stores have only a 2-3% markup on the groceries....not 40%....LOL....The level of business intelligence of the average Democrat is astoundingly LOW! Why do you have to prove it??? LOLOL On top of that MOST all grocery stores have a "loss leader" or more to draw customers in ....like milk, or bread...they LOSE money on that item....

I DARE YOU to open and run your OWN grocery store to get educated....at the very least.....And by the way....all of that cash in the register drawer is NOT the owners...they use that cash to pay their EMPLOYEES and to BUY NEW PRODUCT and pray that they get a living out off what is left......!!!

Everybody should have a business and learn, like it once was many years ago.....now, it seems we have at least half of USA...that is uneducatable....in business....

You don't even think about what you ask, and you offer no proof of your assertions.

Smart people know government-owned grocery stores would end up with empty shelves as they put farmers and ranchers out of business with your imaginary 40% lower prices.

You need to learn to think beyond your barn door. Government would control farm prices and you would quickly go broke.

Now is our chance to watch and see what works.

Instead of just talking about it, one Mayor has the courage/foolishness to try the crazy experiment.

If it works, then other cities can follow the example. If it doesn't work, they can change back.

The experiment was carried out on the Russian People for 70 years.

A big flop. While there was food, there was little variety. Cabbage and turnips were plentiful. Yuck! No imported foods. No luxury items. A complete flop. Take away the profit motive and gone is personal incentive. Small wonder the Russians took to vodka. Military commissaries are okay.. otherwise no to communism.

The goverment wouldn’t own all the grocery stores of course you would still have other stores to chose from.
