So what is the deadliest sin in today's Judaism?

Is it eating the wrong food?
Working on the Sabbath?
Believing that Jesus in the Messiah?

I know that today a person can be an atheist and still be considered a "good Jew". Doesn't make a whole lost of sense.

It is highly doubtful that an athiest would use that designation

Jewish, yes. But then go on to say they are not involved in the religion.

For some, having their family come from Israel ... they may say they are Jewish by descent

Since the op is deadliest sin, it’s a question re religion, not culture.
