clothes from white owned brands. She states you never know who is in your closet. She urges buying clothing from color brands. This is absolutely racist. Imagine anyone making such a statement. Here she is with $200,00,00. Been treated very well by White America. Her hobby would have not been prez but for White voters. My take on her is she is a very sad person. Racist to a fault. And in a miserable marriage.

Michelle Obama did not say people should avoid "white brands," nor did she call for a boycott of white-owned brands. Instead, she described trying to be more intentional about supporting designers of color when she learns a designer she likes is a person of color, and she encouraged viewers to think about "who's in" their closets and who they're supporting.

She expresses an opinion. However, opinion is often little more than private belief. I don't pay a lot of attention to opinion, nor does it affect my opinion. I also don't expect my personal opinion to change anyone else's opinion. There are so many opinions.

I am curious why that you consider it racist, and why you even think that it will affect buying choices of most people? I do not worry if minority businesses are more successful.

The point might be that for years blacks wanted integration. They got it. Now the trend is for blacks to seek segregation. Just an observation that forms my opinion that she is a racist.

GOG, I agree her opinion won't change buying habits, which is why I don't see why it worries you.

Prosperity for Minorities is often a matter of creating separate economies, rather than doing business with White businesses that treated them badly.

Past Black history shows that right up to and including through the Civil Rights movement. As government return to open racial attack on Minorites, it makes sense for them to show their support of minority businesses.

Meanwhile, minorities always have had a variety of opinions of how much they should protect their own culture and how much they should attempt to blend in, pretending to be part of another culture that will never accept them as part of the other culture. That demand to blend is a problem for many of the rest of us. I am against blending in and instead to be uniquely ourselves.
