Which is more important: Helping the Poor or Restricting Guns?

I'm not sure if having more gun restrictions would save lives. Even if it would save lives, poverty is a much bigger more deadly problem.

Guns should be legal. We just need a few reasonable rules and restrictions, like we have with driving.

I just found a study that says:

"Poverty is the 4th greatest cause of U.S. deaths

only heart disease, cancer, and smoking were associated with a greater number of deaths than poverty. Obesity, diabetes, drug overdoses, suicides, firearms, and homicides, among other common causes of death, were less lethal than poverty. "

They are not mutually exclusive!

Each deserves rational discussion and resolution, imo.

Are legally licensed gun carriers guilty of more violent crimes per capita than the rest of us?
